How to make a sugar free hazelnut mocha in minutes

It’s no secret that we love our coffee at Go Vita Ballarat. Mid-morning, you will often spot our staff members skipping back from one of the amazing nearby cafes with a tray full lattes, long blacks and flat whites.

But being a team of health enthusiasts, we are also big fans of Before You Speak; instant coffee with the added benefits of superfoods like MCT oil, turmeric and ginseng. So it’s no wonder we are loving this sugar free mocha recipe, from Before Your Speak Coffee. It includes all of our favourites: coffee, chocolate and hazelnut. Our Mondays. Are. Made.

The creators at Before You Speak are experts in blending premium Columbian coffee beans with superfoods, vitamins and minerals. The added ingredients in BYS coffee sachets can help with vitality, functionality and athletic performance. For instance, MCT Oil has been found to be a good source of energy. It can also help with cognitive function. In addition, Healthline also reports that MCT Oil may help promote weight loss. BYS also include turmeric in their blends. Turmeric in a known anti-inflammatory. It may help improve heart health and reduce pain associated with arthritis.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice) – more or less to desired consistency
  • 1 sachet of Before You Speak Coffee (Glow Mocha or The OG works well)
  • 1-2 tbsp of cacao powder
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp of Melrose chocolate hazelnut butter blend
  • A pinch of pink salt
  • 1/4-1/2 cup of ice – more or less to desired consistency
  • If you prefer a sweeter brew, add 1/2 tsp of monk fruit sweetener (coconut sugar or sweetener of choice)

Optional add-ins

  • 1 tbsp of melted dark chocolate to swirl your glass
  • 1 tsp of maca powder – for hormone balance
  • 1-2 scoops of collagen – for gut healing goodness
  • 1 scoop of Before You Speak Chocolate Creamer – to make it extra lush
  • 1 scoop protein powder – for extra protein

Method

  1. Place all smoothie ingredients into your blender and process until smooth, creamy and well combined.
  2. Pour into a chilled glass or mason jar then top with toppings of choice.
  3. Enjoy!
