Resveratrol is a polyhenol found in grapes and other fruits. It plays an important role in a plant’s defensive system.
Resveratrol has poor bioavailability in the body, due to its rapid metabolism. This reduces its potency. The benefit of Bioactivated Resveratrol is that it contains a black pepper extract that is rich in piperine, a substance which inhibits the enzymes that break down resveratrol in the body, increasing its bioavailability and potency over 1000%.
Each capsule contains 500mg grape skin extract (standardised to contain 100mg resveratrol) with black pepper extract, bioactivated to equivalent of 1,000 glasses of red wine.
